  • 1:00 pm (CST): Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) – Overview of Pathophysiology, Epidemiology, Diagnosis, and Emerging Treatments

The target audience for this event is health care professionals (including physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physician assistants), researchers, hospital and corporate administrators, and others who have an interest in the diabetes and obesity-related fields, including endocrinology, family practices, internal medicine, cardiology, bariatrics, and wellness.

Activity Credit Information

Physicians:

AOA designates this activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity™.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and The National Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute. The AOA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Pharmacists:

2 contact hours have been approved by the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy

Nurses:

This activity has been submitted to the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, Inc for approval to award contact hours.  The Mississippi Nurses Foundation is accredited as an approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
