In Honor of Dr. Canizaro’s Service to the Gulf Coast
The National Diabetes and Obesity Research Institute (NDORI), in affiliation with Cleveland Clinic Endocrinology & Metabolism Institute, is bringing this one-day course to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This Summit will cover topics such as neuronal regulation of appetite in obesity and diabetes, cardiovascular risk reduction in type 2 diabetes, type 2 diabetes reversal – myth or reality, pharmaceutical approaches to DM management, treating complications of obesity through weight loss, and a workshop of integrated obesity medical weight management.
Active duty, reserves and retired military receive 50% off registrations (first 25 registrants are free).
The purpose of the VJ Canizaro, MD, Health Summit is to help NDORI make a visible difference through its mission toward reducing the incidence and prevalence of type 2 diabetes and obesity in Mississippi and the US through research, education, treatment and prevention. Through a consortium of stakeholders, NDORI’s vision is to “find a cure for diabetes” and this Summit is one way to create awareness and make this happen.
